RETROVISOR FINN JUHL'S BENCH IN FREAK HANSEN

A true collector's and investment piece by Finn Juhl for Bovirke. This design was conceived by Juhl to be used as a bench and/or coffee table and came with a foldable cushion to allow the user to still use half of the piece as a table. The top surface is flanked by two solid brass strips that would have kept the cushions in place but also guard against items on the surface falling off. The legs are constructed of tubular metal and are tipped with solid teak shoes. The strength of the piece, to allow it to be used as a bench, comes from the solid beech stretcher that runs along the bottom. This piece came in four lengths, this being the third longest. This piece would make a wonderful addition to any Juhl collection or modern setting.

RETROVISOR GETAMA SOFA BY HANS WEGNER IN FREAK HANSEN

DESCRIPTION:
An awesome sofa designed by
Hans Wegner for Getama Gedsted. This particular example is the more difficult to find large four seat version with a middle support post. This design was Wegner's most popular sofa design surely because of its versatility. It was used to accompany most of his chairs because of its linear and minimalist design. As with all of Wegner's designs, it looks beautiful from all angles. The rear is of special note. The angled posts give this sofa its modern flare and are constructed from solid teak, as are the legs and supports. All of the teak surfaces are in excellent condition showing only very minor signs of use. The original Danish wool fabric is in very good condition. What makes this sofa comfortable is Getama's spring cushions as well as the spring supports under the seats. A truly stunning design in original condition that would fit any modern environment.
